چکیده
Human Adenovirus (HADV) is classified in Adenoviridae family, it important viral pathogen of respiratory tract infection (RTIs) among children. This study aimed at detecting HADV infections hospitalized children under 10 years old with Salahaldin Governorate, addition to compare different diagnostic methods for the detection this virus.
Nasopharyngel Swabs (NPS) and whole blood samples were taken from 400 between end August 2013, May 2014, each sample was analyzed by real time –PCR, IgM IgG specific determining specimens serum using Enzyme Immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) technique.
 Swab more sensitive than identified 3% RT-PCR, 72.2% – antibodies, 83.1% IgG-HADV antibodies.
Autumn Spring periods considered as most common peak September February.

Novel Human Bocavirus in Children with Acute Respiratory Tract Infection
Human bocavirus (HBoV) and HBoV2, two human bocavirus species, were found in 18 and 10 of 235 nasopharyngeal aspirates, respectively, from children hospitalized with acute respiratory tract infection. Our results suggest that, like HBoV, HBoV2 is distributed worldwide and may be associated with respiratory and enteric diseases.
متن کاملHuman bocavirus infection in children with respiratory tract disease.
BACKGROUND Human bocavirus (HBoV) is a ubiquitous, newly described member of the Parvoviridae family frequently detected in the respiratory tract of children, but only few reports provide data proving the link between HBoV and respiratory tract disease (RTD). OBJECTIVES To evaluate the incidence of HBoV infection in children with RTD; to analyze the clinical features of HBoV infection; and to...

BACKGROUND Human adenoviruses (HAdV) play a significant role in pediatric respiratory tract infections. To date, over 60 types of HAdV have been identified. Here, HAdV types are characterized in children in the Beijing area with acute lower respiratory tract infections (ALRTIs) and the clinical features and laboratory findings of hospitalized HAdV-infected cases are described. METHODS Respira...

Thirty preschool children presenting with recurrent respiratory infections and their unaffected siblings were observed prospectively for a year. The index children experienced more episodes of acute respiratory infection than their siblings. Respiratory viruses were the major cause of respiratory infections. The index children had lower respiratory tract disease, predominantly wheeze, during 34...
